Key details about fall recreation softball:

• We aim to have teams at all age levels, but this is dependent on having enough coaches and players at each level.

• The season will start the last week of August and run through early November

• Teams will practice on weekday evenings ONCE a week , with each team playing a game weekly on Sunday. There may be a few Friday evening games as well.

• Practices are primarily at Mountain View fields - with most teams at Crittenden Middle School's lighted Callahan field. Games will be in Mountain View and Palo Alto. Older divisions (12U and above) may also play games in other nearby cities.

• No experience is required, only a great attitude. We focus on skills and fun - everyone plays!

• More competitive Select (Redhawks) teams may also be available for ages 8U and older where there is enough coach and player interest. These teams will practice on weekends and play 1-2 tournaments - in addition to their rec team participation.

Our divisions for Fall 2026 - Summer 2027:

• 6U - Sept 2019 - August 2021 birthdays (typically Kindergarten-1st graders)

• ​8U - Sept 2017 - Aug 2019 birthdays (typically 2nd-3rd graders)

• 10U - Sept 2015 - Aug 2017 birthdays (typically 4th-5th graders)

• 12U - Sept 2013 - Aug 2015 birthdays (typically 6th-7th graders)

• 14U - Sept 2011 - Aug 2013 birthdays (typically 8th-9th graders)

*We strongly prefer players to play in the division designated by their birthday, but we know there can be reasons that might not be the best fit for every player.​​​ If you have questions/concerns about your player's division, please reach out to leadplayeragent@mvlags.org to discuss if playing up or down will be a better fit for your player.

• 6U: $140

• 8U: $170

• 10U: $200

• 12U/14U: $220

**MVLAGS aims to support anyone who wants to play softball independent of ability to pay. We offer not only an equipment lending program but partial and full scholarships for your player. We do not require any special forms or documentation for scholarships or equipment. You simply need to ask by emailing leadplayeragent@mvlags.org.​​
