Welcome to the Mountain View-Los Altos Girls Softball League!
MVLA is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization promoting athletics,
education and community building through softball for girls age 5-16. We
offer ASA-sanctioned recreational and competitive girls fast pitch
softball. In 2008, we have over 450 girls on 39 teams, in five
divisions. Our goal is to provide girls in the Mountain View-Los Altos area
with the opportunity to enjoy and play organized softball while
fostering the spirit of sportsmanship, fair play and friendship.
The links on the left provide important information for parents. We
encourage you to explore our site and become a part of MVLA Girls
Softball.

Photo Make-up Day

| May 31 |
Closing Day Everyone is invited to
come out to Stevenson Field, even if your team isn’t
playing that day. There will be plenty of great
softball to watch, and fans will be treated to free
Cracker Jacks and peanuts. At 1:00 we’ll begin our
closing ceremonies. Trophies will be presented,
hit-a-thon and raffle winners will be announced. Teams
are encouraged to hold their end-of-year celebrations at
this time.
Plan a potluck, order pizza or
bring sandwiches, and MVLA will provide dessert. (Don’t
forget the picnic blankets and lawn chairs.) Each
player will also receive a yearbook and an MVLA tee
shirt for her teammates to sign. Of course there’ll be
lots of water balloons, so girls may want to wear their
bathing suits under their clothes. When all the
balloons have been popped, the fields will be available
for Mother-Daughter softball games, so moms, dig your
gloves out of the closet and get ready to show your
daughters you know a thing or two about softball. It
should be a lot of fun, so we hope to see you there.
